Someone + 长得 + (很) + Adj / … + 怎么样？
长得 (zhǎng de, lit. "has grown in such a way") describes physical appearance: 他长得很帅 (he's good-looking), 她长得像妈妈 (she looks like her mom).
怎么样 asks for an evaluation or opinion: 他人怎么样？(What's he like as a person?), 他长得怎么样？(What does he look like?). It also makes suggestions: 我们明天去，怎么样？(Let's go tomorrow, how's that?).
For personality, use 人 + adj: 他人很好 (he's a nice guy).

Common mistakes
✗ 他长很帅 → ✓ 他长得很帅 (with 得, read zhǎng de).
✗ 他怎么样长得？ → ✓ 他长得怎么样？
