A 没有 B (那么) Adj: "A is not as… as B". It's the most natural negative of a 比 sentence: 这里没有北京那么冷.
To measure the gap in a 比 sentence, put the detail after the adjective:
- big gap: 得多 or 多了: 他比我高得多.
- small gap: 一点儿 / 一些: 今天比昨天冷一点儿.
- exact gap: a number: 他比我大三岁.
Never put 很 / 非常 / 太 before the adjective in a 比 sentence; you can use 更 or 还: 他比我还忙.
Examples
中国的高考比法国的考试难得多。
Zhōngguó de gāokǎo bǐ Fǎguó de kǎoshì nán de duō.China's gaokao is much harder than the French exam.
小学的作业没有中学那么多。
Xiǎoxué de zuòyè méiyǒu zhōngxué nàme duō.Primary school homework isn't as heavy as secondary school.
这次考试比上次好一点儿。
Zhè cì kǎoshì bǐ shàng cì hǎo yìdiǎnr.This exam went a bit better than the last one.
我妹妹比我小五岁。

Common mistakes
✗ 他比我很高。 → ✓ 他比我高得多。/ 他比我高很多。
✗ 他比我不高。 → the normal negative uses 没有. ✓ 他没有我高。
✗ 他比我一点儿高。 → the amount goes after the adjective. ✓ 他比我高一点儿。
