可见 ("it can be seen") draws a conclusion from a fact or observation just mentioned: "this shows that", "clearly".
It opens the concluding sentence, often followed by a comma. Stronger and more written: 由此可见 ("from this we can see").
Examples
他连周末都在实验室,可见他多么热爱科学。
Tā lián zhōumò dōu zài shíyànshì, kějiàn tā duōme rèài kēxué.He's in the lab even at weekends, which shows how much he loves science.
这本书卖了一百万本,可见很受读者欢迎。
Zhè běn shū mài le yìbǎi wàn běn, kějiàn hěn shòu dúzhě huānyíng.This book sold a million copies, which shows readers love it.
大家都没听懂,可见他讲得不够清楚。
Dàjiā dōu méi tīng dǒng, kějiàn tā jiǎng de bú gòu qīngchu.Nobody understood, so clearly he didn't explain well enough.
Common mistakes
✗ Using 可见 with no prior evidence: ✗ 可见明天会下雨。 → state the evidence first.
✗ Confusing it with 看见 (to see with your eyes): 可见 = "it follows that".
