A也好，B也好，（都）… means "whether A or B, it makes no difference": you set out two cases to say the conclusion holds for each (你来也好，不来也好，我都支持). It is more colloquial than 无论……都…… (HSK 3) and has no question word: the cases are simply listed. Each half takes 也好.
V + 也好 at the end of a clause is a soft "why not" or "it wouldn't hurt": an option you accept, or suggest gently (让他试一试也好, 没有信号也好). The tone is relaxed, never enthusiastic.
或是A，或是B is the written "either… or…": it lists possibilities in a statement (游客或是留在旅馆里，或是走安全路线下山). It is a variant of 或者 (HSK 2). For a question keep 还是; for a firm, exclusive choice, 要么……要么…… (HSK 5) is more categorical.
Examples
你去也好，不去也好，我都支持你。
Nǐ qù yě hǎo, bú qù yě hǎo, wǒ dōu zhīchí nǐ.Whether you go or not, I back you.
让他自己试一试也好，不行再帮他。
Ràng tā zìjǐ shì yi shì yě hǎo, bù xíng zài bāng tā.Let him try on his own, why not; if it doesn't work, we'll help.
晴天也好，雨天也好，他每天都去公园跑步。
Qíngtiān yě hǎo, yǔtiān yě hǎo, tā měi tiān dōu qù gōngyuán pǎobù.Rain or shine, he goes jogging in the park every day.
你要是累了，先睡一觉也好，行李我来看着。
Nǐ yàoshi lèi le, xiān shuì yí jiào yě hǎo, xíngli wǒ lái kānzhe.If you're tired, a nap wouldn't hurt: I'll keep an eye on the luggage.
来参加活动的人，或是附近的居民，或是外地来的游客。
Lái cānjiā huódòng de rén, huòshì fùjìn de jūmín, huòshì wàidì lái de yóukè.The people who come to the event are either local residents or tourists from elsewhere.
他每天下班后，或是跑步，或是游泳，从来没闲过。
Tā měi tiān xiàbān hòu, huòshì pǎobù, huòshì yóuyǒng, cónglái méi xián guo.After work he either runs or swims; he is never idle.
Common mistakes
✗ 晴也好，下雨，我们出发 → ✓ 晴也好，下雨也好，我们都出发 (each half takes 也好).
✗ 让他试一试好 → ✓ 让他试一试也好 (the "why not" needs 也好).
✗ 你喝茶或是喝咖啡？ → ✓ 你喝茶还是喝咖啡？ (a question takes 还是, not 或是).
