这也不…，那也不…: "not this, not that", the complaint about someone who rejects or finds fault with everything. 这 and 那 stand for everything on offer, 也不 turns each item into a refusal, and what follows is often the result or the grievance: 这也不吃，那也不喝，结果身体越来越差。 / 这也不对，那也不对，我真不明白她要什么。
V1 and V2 are two related verbs or adjectives (吃 and 喝, 要 and 买, 对 and 好, 行 and 可以), and the order can be reversed: 那也不…，这也不…。 There is also a variant about manner: 这样也不行，那样也不行 ("not this way, not that way either"). You can also complain about yourself: 我这也不会，那也不会.
The pattern is spoken and always carries reproach or exasperation. To state a fact without judging, keep 什么都不… ("nothing at all"), which is neutral.
Examples
孩子这也不吃，那也不吃，妈妈急坏了。
Háizi zhè yě bù chī, nà yě bù chī, māma jíhuài le.The child won't eat this or that, and his mother is frantic.
你这也不要，那也不要，到底想买什么？
Nǐ zhè yě bú yào, nà yě bú yào, dàodǐ xiǎng mǎi shénme?You don't want this and you don't want that: what do you actually want to buy?
领导这也不满意，那也不满意，我们改了五遍。
Lǐngdǎo zhè yě bù mǎnyì, nà yě bù mǎnyì, wǒmen gǎi le wǔ biàn.The boss is unhappy with this and unhappy with that, and we have revised it five times.
她这也不吃，那也不喝，结果身体越来越差。
Tā zhè yě bù chī, nà yě bù hē, jiéguǒ shēntǐ yuè lái yuè chà.She won't eat this or drink that, and her health gets worse and worse.
我这也不会，那也不会，真不知道自己适合做什么。
Wǒ zhè yě bú huì, nà yě bú huì, zhēn bù zhīdào zìjǐ shìhé zuò shénme.I can't do this and I can't do that; I really don't know what I'm suited for.
家里的老人牙不好，这也不能吃，那也不能吃，做饭得格外用心。
Jiā li de lǎorén yá bù hǎo, zhè yě bù néng chī, nà yě bù néng chī, zuòfàn děi géwài yòngxīn.The old people at home have bad teeth and can't eat this or that, so cooking takes extra care.
Common mistakes
✗ 这也不吃，也不喝 → ✓ 这也不吃，那也不喝 (the second half needs 那 too, or the "this / that" contrast is lost).
✗ 他这也不吃，那也不吃 → ✓ 他什么都不吃 (to simply say he eats nothing; the pattern always carries a complaint).
