该、另、兹: formal demonstratives (the said, other, hereby)

该、另、兹: three demonstratives of official writing. 该 + noun points back to what has just been named (“the said”), 另 means “other, further” and 兹 “hereby”.
该 refers back inside a text: after 一家企业 you write 该企业, with no measure word. It never points at an object in front of you (for that, 这 + measure word), and you do not use it for your own work (the written “our” is 本, see hsk6-g37).
另 appears in 另一回事, 另一个问题 and before a verb: 另有安排 (other arrangements exist), 另行通知 (to be announced separately, later). 兹 is the “present” of chancery language: 兹证明 (“this is to certify that”), 兹定于 (“it is hereby fixed for”). It is found only in certificates, notices and official letters.
Beware the homograph: 该 as a verb (gāi, “should”: 我该走了, see 应该 hsk2-g07) follows a subject and precedes a verb, whereas the demonstrative 该 comes directly before a noun.
Examples
这是另一回事。
Zhè shì lìng yì huí shì.That is another matter altogether.
记者走访了一家小企业，该企业去年的出口增长了一倍。
Jìzhě zǒufǎng le yì jiā xiǎo qǐyè, gāi qǐyè qùnián de chūkǒu zēngzhǎng le yí bèi.The reporter visited a small firm; its exports doubled last year.
研究者在湖南的一个县做了调查，该县的青年大多在外地打工。
Yánjiūzhě zài Húnán de yí ge xiàn zuò le diàochá, gāi xiàn de qīngnián dàduō zài wàidì dǎgōng.The researcher carried out a survey in a county in Hunan; most young people in that county work away from home.
那天我另有安排，恐怕去不了。
Nà tiān wǒ lìng yǒu ānpái, kǒngpà qù bu liǎo.I have other plans that day, so I'm afraid I can't come.
会议改期，具体时间另行通知。
Huìyì gǎiqī, jùtǐ shíjiān lìngxíng tōngzhī.The meeting has been rescheduled; the exact time will be announced separately.
兹证明李华同学是我校在读学生。
Zī zhèngmíng Lǐ Huá tóngxué shì wǒ xiào zàidú xuésheng.This is to certify that Li Hua is a currently enrolled student of our school.
Common mistakes
✗ 你看，该本书很有意思。 → ✓ 你看，这本书很有意思。 (该 refers back to a word already named in a text and takes no measure word; to point at what is in front of you, use 这 + measure word).
✗ 另个问题 → ✓ 另一个问题 (before a measure word, 另 needs 一).
✗ 在该论文中，我提出了新的框架。 → ✓ 在本文中，我提出了新的框架。 (of your own text you say 本文; 该 refers to a text already cited).
